Description: We're screening the documentary Maquilapolis which is about the factories in Tijuana. It's free and is in Cullen Auditorium and will be followed by a talk by principal cast member Carmen Duran.

Press Conference

Description: In front of the M.D. Anderson Library on the main campus of UH. We will be holding a press conference about the library using student fees to pay for the installation of a coffee shop in the library. 95% of the profits will go to Aramark. It's corporate welfare at student's expense.

Sweat free awareness day

Description: Our sister group Students Against Sweatshops are having a sweat free awareness day Thursday November 8 from 10-2 in the University Center. They' ll have some tables on the south side (facing the Hilton hotel) and be asking folks to take part in a one minute activity to raise awareness of the issue.
